How To Stack Phenylpiracetam – Top 5 Stacks Explained

Phenylpiracetam Effects

Phenylpiracetam (also known as Phenotropil) is a racetam compound developed in Russia with proclaimed effective and potent Nootropic effects. It is supposed to be around 60 times stronger and more powerful than its predecessor piracetam. It is composed of the piracetam molecule with an additional phenyl- group attached.

Phenylpiracetam is said to have similar effects to piracetam but more powerful. Effects include increased cognitive performance, memory and brain boost as well as mood-lift and enhanced physical performance. Here we look at the phenylpiracetam stack! [1]

1.     Phenylpiracetam, Choline stack

There is a lot of information available online about the importance of stacking phenylpiracetam with Choline. This is said to replace lost acetylcholine from using pheylpiracetam. While the two substances may create a great synergistic effect, it is definitely not necessary to stack them in order to achieve best results.

Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine, a very important neurotransmitter responsible for many functions in the brain. It is an essential nutrient found mostly in meat and fish. It has Nootropic effects that are quite similar to the effects of phenylpiracetam. Stacking the two could be beneficial and increase the effects felt.[2]

At this point there is only one study available about the effects of phenylpiracetam on acetylcholine. This study was performed on rats who had been administered a poisonous chemical, scopolamine and it found that phenylpiracetam could decrease the effects of scopolamine and increase acetylcholine receptors.[3]

If you’d like to read more about choline and phenylpiracetam, we go into detail about stacking in our post Phenylpiracetam Guide: How Do People Take It.

2.    Phenylpiracetam, piracetam stack

Phenylpiracetam is piracetam with an additional phenyl- group. The added phenyl- group is said to help phenylpiracetam pass more easily through the blood-brain barrier, making it far more efficient than its precursor.

Piracetam is basically very similar to phenylpiractem but not as strong. There is a lot more information about the effects of piracetam because it was studied for a while before phenylpiracetam was developed.

More information about piracetam can be found here. There haven’t been that many studies on healthy people taking piracetam. Most have been on older people with either Alzheimers or who have suffered from a stroke. These studies have concluded that piracetam is an effective substance to improve cognition, memory and overall brain power.[4]

Many users report potent Nootropic effects from using piracetam. Some reviews can be found here.[5]

We wouldn’t recommend stacking these two substances. They work in a very similar method and stacking could theoretically result in unwanted negative health effects. Since piracetam is basically just phenylpiracetam without the phenyl- group, we’d recommend sticking to phenylpiracetam as it is known to be more effective.

3.    Phenylpiracetam, Noopept stack

Noopept is another Russian developed Nootropic. Like phenylpiracetam, Noopept is based on the original racetam, piracetam. It is structurally more different from piracetam than phenylpiracetam but the effects are similar.

Noopept is said to be around 1000 times stronger than piracetam. The main effects include increased focus, coginitive performance and memory enhancement. Most scientific studies into Noopept have been more focused on its potent neuro-protective and anti-anxiety effects.[6]

As with most Nootropics, there is not a large amount of research available about interactions and stacking with other substances. Noopept and Phenylpiracetam work in similar ways, and are very related.

These substances could potentially be used together in a stack but it’s possible that they will increase the effects of each other, so it would be best to use lower than normal doses. Could be a synergistic combo!

4.    Phenylpiracetam, Phenibut stack

Phenibut is one of the best known Nootrpoics available today. Its primary effects include potent anti-anxiety and anti-stress effects, as well as a mood-boost and increased euphoria. Some users even report euphoria as an effect.

Phenibut acts primarily as a Central Nervous System depressant, similar to the way that alcohol works. It mimics a molecule called GABA and binds to certain GABA receptors. GABA helps to modulate signals from the central nervous system and is associated with healthy sleep and tranquility.[7]

Using phenibut with phenylpiracetam together could be a possibility. Again, there is little information available about interactions between these two substances. The two substances act very differently on the body. Phenibut produces a more calming, anti-anxiety effect while phenylpiracetam has more of a mental stimulation effect.

5.    Phenylpiracetam and Alcohol

Our final stack looks at using phenylpiracetam and alcohol together. We’ve had to look at some anecdotal evidence because of the lack of scientific studies into the interactions between these two substances.

phenylpiracetam stack Some users combine alcohol and phenylpiracetam

Some users report that alcohol use combined with phenylpiracetam makes them feel more drunk than normal. This seems to be quite variable because one or two users report that the phenylpiracetam actually makes them feel less tipsy.[8]

Due to the way that phenylpiracetam works in increasing blood circulation in the brain[9], using alcohol together with phenylpiracetam may not be a good idea. Increased blood circulation in the brain would potentially cause a greater concentration of alcohol in the brain, increasing the effects of alcohol.

What’s the point?

In conclusion, phenylpiracetam is a substance with potent mental enhancing and Nootropic effects. It has a strong ability to provide neuroprotective effects.

There is the potential for a lot more studies into its effects and interactions with other substances. It is a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency, due to its ability to improve cognitive and physical performance.1 This may influence why there are not many studies on it at this point.

We see that phenylpiracetam has the potential to be used together with other Nootropics and some other substances. However, some should be avoided.

Remember, everybody is different and the effects that a substance has on one person may vary greatly from the effects it has on another.
